Chardonnay

altThe Hunter Valley is renowned for producing some of Australia's finest Chardonnays. The warm climate is conducive to producing full bodied Chardonnays of rich fruit character, enhanced with the flavours of oak.

The Alexander Chardonnay comes from the small Alexander block at the top of the vineyard. This wine is named after Brett Alexander Young, nephew and cousin of the Wilson family. Brett excelled at body boarding and was ranked in the top 10 in the world. He spent his later years in Japan teaching the locals to surf.

The 'Chicken Shed' Chardonnay comes from the block on the northern side of Ernest Hill, next to our neighbour's chicken sheds. It is a lightly oaked style of wine with fresh Chardonnay fruit flavours enhanced by the toasty vanilla flavours from new French oak barrels.

We also produce a sparkling chardonnay - our "blanc de blancs"for those that love a great aussie bubbly.
